Abstract: Projective two-weight sets play an important role as well in the theory of linear codes and strongly regular graphs as in finite geometry. This interplay was first described in detail in a seminal paper by Calderbank and Kantor. In this talk I will first overview the classical results of the Calderbank-Kantor paper. Then I will focus on the geometries that arise from specific types of two-weight sets and discuss some recent characterization and classification results. I will explain the link with a specific type of Diophantine equation. I will conclude the talk by mentioning some important open problems
