What do church bells in England have to do with Rubik’s Cube? Who (or what?) are Plain Bob Minimus and Grandsire Triples, and what do they have to do with Arthur Cayley and Evariste Galois? And while we’re at it, who are Arthur Cayley and Evariste Galois? The answers to these questions and more will be revealed at a special lecture on Mathematics and Music presented by Todd Eisworth (Assistant Professor of Mathematics). No special background is required – the lecture assumes only that you know what “math” and “music” are. There will also be a special performance by the renowned campanological group “The 320Belles”.
