Undergraduate Math students win national awards

Several undergraduate Mathematics students won national awards this year.

On May 29, 2008 the Office of Nationally Competitive Awards at Ohio University held a Celebration and Appreciation Lunch in the Baker Center Ballroom. Among those honored were the 4 Math Majors, 7 Math Minors, 1 Integrated Math Major and 2 Honors Tutorial College Math Majors who applied for awards. Of these, 10 were successful and received awards while 2 received honorable mentions and 1 was chosen as an alternate recipient. University-wide there were 61 nationally competitive award recipients and 5 honorable mentions.
