On Leavitt Algebras

Abstract:
This will be an introductory talk on rings that do
not satisfy the invariant basis number (IBN) property for free
modules and
how some of these can be represented by factors of path algebras.
This is
currently a topic getting a lot of attention from ring theorists
in the US
and Spain.
