Professor Trlifaj will also be speaking in the Mid-west Model Theory Conference  in Columbus on Saturday.
Contact Ivo Herzog for more information about his talk in that Conference.
Professor Trlifaj will be leaving Athens around noon on Wednesday Nov 2.

Professor Trlifaj has also kindly made various manuscripts available through this page.  Please find descriptions and corresponding links below.

A note from our speaker:

I realized that it is not possible to write down in short lecture notes a detailed account for all the material in my talks
(I would essentially have to find a shortcut through three or four chapters of our forthcoming book with Ruediger Goebel).
So I have opted for providing the following:

1. An updated version of my earlier notes (Notes.pdf, 37 pages) which cover details of about one half of my talks
Besides general theory of approximations and cotorsion pairs, the notes
deal only with the case projective/injective dimensions \leq 1.
2. The final version of my recent survey for the Handbook of Tilting
Theory (Survey.pdf, 26 pages) which covers
the general (n-dimensional) case and recent applications, but contains
mainly sketches and ideas of proofs rather than full proofs.
3. A PDF file of the 'slides' of my talks (Slides.pdf, 28 pages).

I hope that these files will be useful for the participants.

Added on 12/12/05: A preprint on the telescope property.
