Daily Announcements: At the start of each class, I project daily announcements on the movie screen.
Blackboard: I will use the Blackboard web site for posting grades. The gradebook will be updated weekly.
Calculators: On some of the exams, calculators will be allowed, but on some exams, they will not.

Computer Projects: Each of the homework assignments includes a computer project. The programs that you will use for these projects will include MATLAB, Microsoft Excel, and some web-based programs. The seven computer projects can be found at the links in the homework table below.
Homework: One learns math primarily by trying to solve problems. For that reason, homework plays a central role in Math 266B Section A01. The table below shows a list of Suggested Problems and Assigned Problems. The Suggested Problems are not to be turned in and are not part of your grade. But in order to learn the material covered in the course, you should do as many of the suggested problems as possible and keep your solutions in a notebook for study. The Assigned Problems are graded. Each assignment consists of some assigned textbook problems and a Computer Project. The assigned textbook problems for each set are shown in the table, and there is a link to the associated Computer Project.
